FA Cup hero Connor Hall moves to Maidenhead United – football in Berkshire

Maidenhead United have secured the services of Connor Hall from National League side Brackley Town after the Saints were relegated at the end of the season.

Hall is no stranger to Berkshire, having started his footballing journey alongside his younger brother, England international Lewis, at Binfield FC’s weekly football schools, helping their Lions team win two cup competitions before playing for Allied Counties League side Eldon Celtic and Ascot United.

Hall scored 18 goals in 45 games as Brackley won the National League North title in 2024/25, while his playing time was limited last season, scoring six goals in 31 substitute appearances as the Saints were relegated.

Maidenhead coach Ryan Peters said his new signing is “hitting the ground running” and “has a point to prove”.

In an interview for the Maidenhead website, Peters said: “Connor is a proven goalscorer, particularly at this level.

“[He is] A player who needs to prove his worth and does everything he can to get started. If we can provide service, Connor will find the end of the net.”

Chorley’s FA Cup hero

After his youth years in Berkshire, his football career took him north where he joined and worked through the age groups of Sheffield United. He played football in EFL League One for Bolton Wanderers and Accrington Stanley, but only came to public attention after a loan move to Chorley in the 2020/21 season.

He made national headlines after scoring the winning goal in the FA Cup second round win at Peterborough United, and his remarkable FA Cup form continued in the third round when he scored in Chorley’s 2-0 win over Championship Derby County, then managed by former England captain Wayne Rooney.

“It’s nice to be home”

“It feels really good, I’m really excited. I’m excited to actually sign here and hopefully contribute to a good season,” Hall said after his performance at York Road.

“To be honest, I had a meeting with the gaffer a few weeks ago and it went really well. I really enjoyed it and I liked the way he spoke – him and Aaron. Shortly after I spoke to them I thought, ‘Right, when I get around to it, I want to be here,'” he added.

Maidenhead will travel to Hall’s former club Brackley Town for a pre-season friendly on August 1. The Magpies also have games against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Southampton.

PakarPBN

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
